Cookie Policy

Effective: 2 April 2026
Last updated: 17 September 2026

1. About this Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Rhythlira Studios and the technology supporting this website may use cookies and similar browser storage. It should be read with the Privacy Policy. The exact cookies visible to a visitor can vary according to device, browser, location, consent choices, and which Shopify or third-party functions are enabled at the time of the visit.

This site is intended to present audio arrangement and post-production services, explain the production process, and provide business and legal information. The current project brief modal validates completed fields and shows a confirmation within the browser; it does not transmit or store the entered information.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on a browser or device when a website is visited. Cookies can remember a session, preserve a preference, help secure a connection, or provide information about how a site performs. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, software development kits, tags, and device identifiers. In this Policy, “cookies” refers to these technologies where the context permits.

Session cookies normally expire when the browser closes. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until deleted. First-party cookies are set by the domain being visited. Third-party cookies are set by another provider whose technology has been enabled on the site.

3. How this site may use cookies

CategoryPurposeTypical status
Strictly necessarySupport page delivery, security, network management, consent records, load balancing, fraud prevention, and other functions needed for the site to operate.Usually active because the requested website cannot function reliably without them.
PreferenceRemember a visitor's display choices. This site's dark/light exposure choice is saved locally under the browser key rhy-theme.Active when the visitor changes the theme. It can be removed through browser storage controls.
AnalyticsMeasure traffic, page use, errors, and aggregate performance so the website can be improved.Used only if an analytics service is enabled and, where required, consent has been obtained.
FunctionalEnable optional integrations such as embedded media, enhanced file delivery, support widgets, or other added features.May be set only when the related feature is enabled or used.
AdvertisingMeasure campaigns, build audiences, or support targeted advertising across services. Not intentionally used by the custom sections supplied with this website. If enabled later, the consent notice and this Policy should be updated first.

4. Shopify and essential platform functions

The website may be hosted through Shopify. Shopify and its infrastructure providers may use essential cookies or similar data to provide storefront sessions, security, localization, network routing, fraud detection, privacy choices, and administrative functions. The set and duration can change when Shopify updates its platform or when theme and app features change.

If commerce, customer accounts, checkout, payments, or an installed Shopify app are later enabled, additional cookies may be introduced. The business should review active Shopify settings and installed apps whenever site functionality changes, and the consent interface should accurately reflect the technologies then in use.

5. The theme preference stored by this site

The Tactile Sound interface includes a physical-style dark/light theme control. When a visitor uses that control, the preference is written to local browser storage as rhy-theme with a value of “dark” or “light.” Its sole purpose is to restore the chosen visual exposure on a later page view. It does not identify the visitor, transmit the preference to the studio, or track activity across unrelated websites.

Clearing site storage removes the preference. If storage is blocked, the theme still changes during the current page view but may not be remembered later.

6. Consent and preference controls

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies, those cookies should remain inactive until a visitor makes an affirmative selection through the consent interface. Declining optional cookies should not prevent access to core informational content. A visitor may change a prior choice through the site's cookie settings if that control is enabled.

The site owner is responsible for configuring any Shopify privacy banner or consent-management platform consistently with the actual apps and technologies installed. Merely displaying a banner does not by itself prevent optional scripts from running; technical blocking and category configuration must also be implemented correctly.

7. Browser and device controls

Most browsers allow users to view, block, or delete cookies and site storage. These controls are commonly found in privacy, security, or site-data settings. Blocking all cookies may affect security, stored preferences, account features, or other functions. Instructions differ by browser and device and may change over time, so visitors should consult their browser's current help information.

Private browsing may limit persistence but does not necessarily prevent all cookies. Deleting cookies does not prevent them from being placed again on a later visit if the relevant feature remains active and permitted.

8. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Some browsers or extensions transmit Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals. Laws and technical standards differ regarding these signals. The studio does not currently sell personal information or use the custom website sections for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where a legally recognized opt-out signal applies to a technology later enabled on the site, the business will take reasonable steps to honor it through the available platform controls.

9. Third-party content and services

An optional embedded player, video, analytics tool, payment service, map, support widget, or social feature may set its own cookies if later added. That provider determines some of its independent processing and retention practices. Rhythlira Studios does not include map, telephone, email, or social-media hyperlinks in these custom sections, and no embedded streaming player is included in the supplied package.

10. Retention and updates

Cookie duration depends on purpose and provider. Essential session cookies may be short-lived, while preference cookies may remain until deleted or replaced. Analytics or functional providers may set different periods. The business should periodically review active browser storage, installed apps, and provider documentation.

This Policy may be revised when site functions, vendors, laws, or consent requirements change. The “Last updated” date identifies the latest version. A material change will be reflected in the site's notice or consent control where required.
